8. Can I retract or cancel my bid?

No, retracting the bid is not allowed in GoldenName.com, you are obligated to pay the high-bid price for the domain name(s) if you win it.

9. How much will it cost me to bid domain name(s) through GoldenName.com? Who will pay for it?

Creating an account and listing domain name(S) for auction on GoldenName is completely free. But after the auction succeed, you are obligated to transfer the domain name(S) through third-party escrow service in goldenname.com, and you will be assessed a 8% commission fee (50% discount for gold member) which covers the escrow service for the domain name(s) and the money for the domain name(s). Seller is requested to pay for this fee.

10. What is proxy bidding?

Proxy biding makes bidding on auctions easier and less-time consuming for buyers. Proxy bidding comes into effect once the reserve has met.

If you are the highest bidder when the auction closes, you are the winner. With proxy bidding when you win the auction you pay only the lowest possible winning bid, which may not necessary be your maximum bid.

Please note: When proxy bidding is used it may appear as if one bidder outbid another with the exact same bid. This occurs when one bidder has set a proxy bid and second bidder places a bid for the exact amount of the first bidder’s maximum proxy bid. Because the first bidder placed his/her proxy bid earlier, such proxy bid has priority and will be the current highest bid. The second bidder must place a new, higher bid to succeed the proxy bid.

11. How long do the domain name(s) auction last?

The seller can choose the time（Min1 day to Max30 days ）by himself/herself when adding the domains to the auction list. However, if an offer is received within 3 minutes of when an auction is supposed to close, the auction will be extended automatically by the system for an additional three minutes. This can happen multiple times and can delay the expected end time of an auction latest to 24:00:00.

12. What is auction deposit? Why GoldenName.com holds some deposit from the bidder?

Goldenname will hold some deposit from each member when they are auction the domain names. The deposit will be different according to the domain price.
□ 0-50 Auction price, we will hold 10 deposit for the highest bidder
□ 50-500 Auction price, we will hold 50 deposit for the highest bidder
□ 500-1000 Auction price, we will hold 100 deposit for the highest bidder
□1000-5000 Auction price, we will hold 200 deposit for the highest bidder
□ 5000-10000 Auction price, we will hold 400 deposit for the highest bidder
□ 10000-15000 Auction price, we will hold 600 deposit for the highest bidder
□ 15000-20000 Auction price, we will hold 800 deposit for the highest bidder
□20000 Auction price, we will hold 1000 deposit for the highest bidder
Our purpose of holding the deposit is protecting the auction from fraud, and make sure the auction will be safe and effective. we’ll release the deposit immediately if the member is failed to bid for the domain, also, we’ll confiscate his/her deposit if the bidder intent to react or cancel his auction.

13. Will GoldenName.com holds my deposit if I auction my domain name(s) here?

There are two ways to auction your domain name in goldenname.com.
The first way, auction your domain without deposit, but you have to transfer the domain to Goldenname, we’ll in charge of the domain once the auction starts.
The second way, we’ll hold your 200 RMB deposit before your starting an auction, but will finally release the deposit once the transaction between you and buyer close.

14. What is increment bidding?

The bid increment is the minimum amount a bid will be raised each time the current bid is surpassed. The bid increment is determined by the value of the most recent bid. The follow minimum bid increments apply:

You can purchase domain name(s) through auction or directly buy in GoldenName.com. People who bid the highest will win the domain name(s) during the auction time. Besides, you also can directly offer a price to the seller who can be found in the domain name(s) selling list or you can turn to GoldenName.com to negotiate with the seller on your behalf.

16. How to transfer the domain name(s) to buyer after the auction closed?

There are two ways to transfer the domain nameS) from the seller to buyer.
The first way is directly transfer the domain name(s) to buyer. Both of the two parties delivery their files to registrar, and the registrar will modify the whois information to buyer’s, then transfer this domain name(s) to buyer’s account. Besides, seller can transfer his domain name(s) to an automatically domain name transferring platform (e.g. Enom.com/Ename.cn), then directly push the domain name(s) to buyer’s account.
The second way is that seller transfer the domain name(s) to GoldenName.com, and GoldenName.com help to transfer the domain name(s) to buyer later. This way are more convenient to both parties, but take longer time.

17. How long does it take to finish the whole process of domain name(s) purchasing?

It depends. From several minutes（Min）to 15 days（Max）.(Newly registered domain name(s) only can be transferred after 60 days). Process are as below:
1. Buyer pays the money. (Usually we request finishing in 3 working days)
2. Apply for the auth code from domain name(s) registrar.( less than 7 working days)
3. Transfer the domain name(s) to a new registrar according to buyer’s request .( less then 5 working days).
But if this two registrars are the same, you can finish this procedure much quicker.

You can pay for domain name(s)from the balance left in your GoldenName.com account,
or you can wire transfer to us through bank.

2. Click on the “Add domains” link.
3. Type in domain name(s) or copy from an external list.
4. Confirm agreement with GoldenName.com’s complete Terms of Use.

6. Log in your email address, and confirm the verification.
7. Click “next” or “finish”
8. Repeat process if necessary.

If you are not willing to pay 200RMB deposit, then you can choose the way to transfer your domain name to Goldenname before the auction starts.

22. How to transfer the domain name(s) to buyer after the auction closed?

There are two ways to transfer the domain name from the seller to buyer.
The first way is directly transfer the domain name to buyer. Both of the two parties delivery their files to registrar, and the registrar will modify the whois information to buyer’s, then transfer this domain name to buyer’s account. Besides, seller can transfer his domain name to an automatically domain name transferring platform (Enom.com/Ename.cn), then directly push the domain to buyer’s account.

23. Where can I view the offers received in GoldenName.com?

Any offers you receive through Goldenname may be viewed in the “offers Received” section on the top left after you log in.

24. If I sell or buy domain name(s) in GoldenName.com, will the sale be public?

Usually, we do not public the domain name’s price, buyer and seller’s information, but we reserve the right that sometimes we select some good domain names to public the price and domain name as typical cases. When your domain names start auction, you are not obligated to modify the price. But for the other selling list, you can.

26. What is third-party escrow service?

This is basically a service whereby property or money is held by a third party until the conditions of a contract have been fulfilled. In Goldenname's case, we act as a third party receiving the buyer's funds until the seller transfers the domain to the buyer's control. This enables both buyer and seller to work with absolute confidence that neither of them will be defrauded. 28. How long does the third-party escrow service take?

It depends upon
1) the inspection period agreed upon by both parties;
2) the Buyer's payment method;
3) Delivery time from Seller to Buyer;
4) Seller's selected disbursement option. Generally, most escrow purchases can take from several minutes to 17 days.

Once the buyer confirmed receiving the domain, the payment will be automatically transferred to sell’s account in goldenname.com, also we can wire the money to sell’s request bank in 3 days.It depends. From Min several minutes to Max 17 days. (Newly registered domains only can be transferred after 60 days). Process are as below:
1. Buyer pay the money. (usually we request in 3 working days)
