About selling domains

1. How do I add domain name(s) to selling list?

1. Log into your 4.CN account.
2. Click on the “Add domains” link.
3. Type in domain name(s) or copy from an external list.
4. Confirm agreement with 4.CN’s complete Terms of Use.
5. Click “next”.
6. Log in your email address, and confirm the verification.
7. Click “next” or “finish”
8. Repeat process if necessary.

2. How much will it cost me to sell my domain name(s) through 4.CN? Who will pay for it?

Creating an account and listing domain name(s) for auction or sell on 4.CN is completely free. But you will be assessed a 8% commission fee (50% discount for gold member) which covers the escrow service for the domain name(s) and the money for the domain. Usually, seller are obligated to pay for this fee, but buyer also can share it or pay for it if both of the parties agree.

3. Do I have to transfer my domain name(s) to 4.CN if I want to sell them here?

There are two ways to sell your domain name in 4.CN, auction and selling.
If you are not willing to pay 200RMB deposit, then you can choose the way to transfer your domain name to 4.CN before the auction starts.

4. How to transfer the domain name(s) to buyer after the auction closed?

There are two ways to transfer the domain name from the seller to buyer.
The first way is directly transfer the domain name to buyer. Both of the two parties delivery their files to registrar, and the registrar will modify the whois information to buyer’s, then transfer this domain name to buyer’s account. Besides, seller can transfer his domain name to an automatically domain name transferring platform (Enom.com/Ename.cn), then directly push the domain to buyer’s account.
The second way is that seller transfer the domain name to Goldenname, and Goldenname transfer the domain to buyer later. This way are more convenient to both parties, but will take longer time.

5. Where can I view the offers received in 4.CN?

Any offers you receive through 4.CN may be viewed in the “offers Received” section on the top left after you log in.

6. If I sell or buy domain name(s) in 4.CN, will the sale be public?

Usually, we do not public the domain name’s price, buyer and seller’s information, but we reserve the right that sometimes we select some good domain names to public the price and domain name as typical cases. But if the buyer or seller doesn’t agree, please contact us and we’ll delete immediately.

7. If my domain name(s) start to sell in 4.CN, how can I modify the price?

When your domain names start auction, you are not obligated to modify the price. But for the other selling list, you can.
